Mock cover 3

This was inspired by a design i saw when i was in town one day. I used basic shapes of the same colour to arrange to provide the background. These provided a stark contrast with the white background and helped to gain the viewers attension. I then arranged the words "The Fratellis, Chelsea Dagger" into a unique shape, with words coming of various letters in the previous. The font colour i used here was a brighter one than the background but yet still a Grey base. I also made the bands name in white to display the name more clearly.

Mock cover 2

This mock cover was a original idea i had. It was created using a program on my ipod touch. The basic technique was to create something unique and eye catching. I used a blank background and scratched over it using a mixture of differnt brush sizes and colour schemes. With the intention to create a rough look. After i had completed this i downloaded a picture of the frateills font and pasted it into the middle of the design. I however did not like the finished product much. Thus i shall not be using it in my future work.

Mock cover 1

This is the first design i made for the front cover. It features a distorted image of the frateills from a local search engine source. The imagine had been distorted and the colour had been drained as well as implanted into the design. The font used is the classical The frateills font style was implanted onto the design.
I tried to not overshadow the design with complicated themes or a stark colour contrast and as a result it has created a blurry effect. The image is also very rough and looks unprofessional.
I will not continue with this theme.

Filming

Filming was largely completed today, with the individual shots completed, als that is left now is the boys pranks shots that i will be unable to film until the new school year, my lack of preparation and urgency will annoy me later on down the line as i will have to complete all the previous work quickly to meet the deadline, i will now edit the footage over the next few weeks and post various mock ups of the video on the page along with my final video.

Storyboard

Contacting the label

Below is a screen shot of the email I sent to Columbia Records regarding permission to use the song 'Chealsea Daggers' in my music video. So far I have not received a reply so the project will continue as originally planned.

Storyboard update

i am currently drawing ths storyboard out now, and i will upload it later on in the day, it features all my ideas with, various people playin invisable instruments, me signing to the lyrics and boysjust beein stupid. several ways i am goin to incorportate this into my work will be boys preforming pranks, Because of the nature of the song i am going to base it around the collage common room. This is drawn because its a very lads orinentated song, and the main motivation behind boys jokes is bordom which is commonly found in school. Several pranks will be, the making of posters to stich around the common room. Several boys beating another boy up, and generally enbraccing tatics such as the clapping game.

Filming

Because i had to change from doing a animatic to a normal video several preperations need to be made;
The Original Storyboard animate had to be scraped and the time table was scrapped, a completely new theme was thought up and as such various amounts of planning have to be completed such as a copyright claim for the song itself, a new storyboard draft, and a new timing schedule. The new video will start production on 19th December 09 and will continue until 21st December, This will give me a allowance on the basic shots and will help encase some of the cast are ill or cannot shoot at the required time.

New music video idea

My new idea for the video will consist of various people singing the lyrics to the song looking at the camera,The song is commly known as a school boy theme and this will mean that i shall film the majority of the song in the school area with the key locations being the 6th form common room, The cantine and outside the school gates. The cast will bepreforming crazy stunts during the chorus, The into idea will also consist of several people playin the air gutiar or imaginary drums for a unquie perspective on the song, there will also be sections of me singing to the camera to break up the action.

Problems

Due to a budget restriction while making my set i was unable to complete it to a accurate depecition, this has unfortunatly left me with hardly any money for the rest of the film and as such i have had to opt out of the choosen set and pick a more cheap and direct lego production. I will try to find some cheaper Lego models and create a set to my budget restrictions. With the plan being that the original animation idea will carry on but the puppets replaced with Lego characters.

EDIT; i had originally not anticipated the cost of the stop motion and as such it has been canceled i am currently working on a new idea for my music video and this will be posted soon.

Video Research

This is weekend i have being looking into a variety of animation videos, using a broad range of animation techniques such as clay stop motion I.C.T manipulation E.G, and have decided on a stop motion idea. I have also drawn up a set of plans for the stage that i will construct in order to film my video which i will upload 2morrow as the scanner is dead. There is also a brief page of character designs but i have decided to go with a Munnys doll for my animation as it is simple and effective.

Chosen song - Chelsea Dagger

I have chosen Chelsea dagger by the frateills, i picked this song because i was attracted to the tune and my research into my shortlist picked it as the most original song out of the lot. This is due to the easy to follow lyrics and unique perspective from the album and poster covers.Other reasons i picked this song was because of the ease of animating it and finding various ways to help to keep the animation fresh and original would be easy.

Design

The past week i have spent time designing a stage for my animation to set place in. Although this is still only a basic design it has the required theme. The furnatire cut out will be affected or interacted by the puppet throughtout the video. i will post the photographs of the design relativly soon.

Teenagers - my Chemical Romance Research

Music Video Link has had the impeding code withheld for legal reasons so i have provided a link for the video below;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6EQAOmJrbw

First 30 seconds analyzed;
The first few seconds of the video show a few establishing shots of the band playing in a school auditorium, which matches with the song title and the meaning of the song. To fit into this theme there are cuts of cheerleaders dancing in the background and they use a free handed camera for the majority of the scene to create a scene of realism. There are various close ups used on the singer during the opening and of the instruments playing as they come into the song.

The lyrics are as follows;
They're gonna clean up your looks
With all the lies in the books
To make a citizen out of you
Because they sleep with a gun
And keep an eye on you, son
So they can watch all the things you do

Because the drugs never work
They're gonna give you a smirk
'Cause they got methods of keeping you clean
They're gonna rip up your heads,
Your aspirations to shreds
Another cog in the murder machine

They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me

The boys and girls in the clique
The awful names that they stick
You're never gonna fit in much, kid
But if you're troubled and hurt
What you got under your shirt
Will make them pay for the things that they did

They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me

Ohhh yeah!

They said all teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me

All together now!

Teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
[x2]

The lyrics talk about conformity in the common social media. They talk about from a outside perspective how the modern say 90's child is the worst one yet, because they have been popularized by hoodies and gang warfare, they automatically assume that every teenager is like that and all they want to do is hurt people.The verses themselves talk about how a kid might be bullied into violence from peer members.

Album poster;

The album poster is unique and features a nuclear explosion in the background. Maybe this is just a message that the music will blow your mind in a way. This however creates a nice backdrop for the MCR text which is colored black against the white explosion. The name of the song is also pasted in large capital letters across the poster in a brighter white, this is to grap the readers attention.

Album cover;

The album cover is a complete contrast to the poster. It features a man and woman illustrated on the front. The band title is displayed in a white font which is a clear contrast than the image painted. The cover itself seems to follow the same painting style as previous covers.

Everything is alright - Motion city Soundtrack Research

Music Video Link has had the impeding code withheld for legal reasons so i have provided a link for the video below;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY-c-_sZ8LI

First 30 seconds analyised;
The first couple seconds of the video consist of a slow pan of a doctors waiting room, init are the usual sterotypes such as a child, a middleaged man, a concered mother, a caring nurse and the lead singer. As the song is being sung it pans other the various people in the waiting room miming the words until it gets to the lead singer of the band. A few fast cuts showing the actual band playing the aggresive music in a small confinded space are added in to mix up the tone of the video.

The lyrics are;
Tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.
Oh please tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.

Give me a reason to end this discussion,
To break with tradition.
To fold and divide.

Cause I hate the ocean, theme parks and airplanes,
Talking with strangers, waiting in line..
I'm through with these pills that make me sit still.
"Are you feeling fine?"
Yes, I feel just fine.

Tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.
Oh please tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.

I'm sick of the things I do when I'm nervous
Like cleaning the oven or checking my tires
Or counting the number of tiles in the ceiling..
Head for the hills, the kitchen's on fire!

I used to rely on self-medication,
I guess I still do that from time to time.
But I'm getting better at fighting the future,
"Someday you'll be fine.."
Yes, I'll be just fine.

Tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.
Oh please tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.

Give me a reason (I don't believe a word)
To end this discussion (of anything I've heard)
To break with tradition (they tell me that it's not so hard)
To fold and divide (it's not so hard)
So let's not get carried (away with everything)
Away with the process (from here to in-between)
of elimination (the long goodbye)
I don't want to waste your time.

Tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.
Oh please tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.

(Alright)
Tell me that you're alright, (Hi, everything's great)
Yeah everything is alright. (Everything's fine)
Oh please tell me that you're alright, (Hi, everything's great)
Yeah everything is alright.
(Everything's fine) [x4]

The songs is that of a bloke who is having a metal breakdown constantly asked if he is feeling fine. The lyrics in the chorus suggest that he is infact not suffering any physiological problems he just dislikes a lot of things.

Album Poster;
There was no poster for this album because of its limited release.

Album cover;

This album cover is unique it its pictures and colour scheme, The colour scheme that is dominate in the album cover is a blue/pink mix. It features a stark white text colour contrast agianst the background theme which emphises the bands name. It also features a man wispering into the womans ear, the woman is blended into the background colour theme expect for her face and the black is wearing a black contrast making him stand out. Perhaps stating that this music will try to stop you being such a conformist.

Chelsea Dagger - The Fratellis Research

Music Video Link has had the impeding code withheld for legal reasons so i have provided a link for the video below;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBqsVnvfn1k

First 30 Seconds analised;
The start of the video features a girl walking towards a house and then procedding to push a doorbell, this girl as you only see her feet is a speculation and ties in with the transexual theme that the song has. Soon as the doorbell rings the song starts and a blacked stage is then lit up with a spotlight on the drummer as he starts playing, when the bass comes into the intro a spotlight then shows him and it finally does the same for the gutairist/lead. It features close ups on each member as they are introduced and are shown to be wearing a 1940's styled theme.

Song Lyrics;
Well you must be a girl with shoes like that
she said you know me well
I seen you and little steven and Joanna
Round the back of my hotel oh yeah

Someone said you was asking after me
But I know you best as a blagger
I said tell me your name is it sweet?
She said my boy it's dagger oh yeah

I was good she was hot
Stealin' everything she got
I was bold she was over the worst of it
Gave me gear thank you dear bring yer sister over here
Let her dance with me just for the hell of it

Well you must be a boy with bones like that
She said you got me wrong
I would've sold them to you
If I could've just have kept the last of my clothes on
Call me up take me down with you
When you go I could be your regular belle
And I'll dance for little steven and Joanna
Round the back of my hotel oh yeah

I was good she was hot
Stealin everything she got
I was bold she was over the worst of it
Gave me gear thank you dear bring yer sister over here
Let her dance with me just for the hell of it

Chelsea Chelsea I believe that when your dancing
Slowly sucking your sleeve
That all the boys get lonely after you leave
And it's one for the Dagger and another for the one you believe

Chelsea Chelsea I believe that when your dancing
Slowly sucking your sleeve
That all the boys get lonely after you leave
And it's one for the Dagger and another for the one you believe

The lyrics in this song suggest that he is singing his questions to a transsexual, at first he thinks she is a girl but then he later discovers shes a man before he sleeps with her. The original of the name Chelsea dagger is never fully explained in the song expect for her name, this could lead to many interpretations of it.

Album poster;

The album poster shows a illustrated woman on her back in a provocative position. It draws on the video theme of a 1940's inspired video, as the woman is wearing the app orate attire for that time era. The colour contrast between the album background and the font are designed to help catch the readers eye after the initial picture of a woman draws people in.

Album cover;

The album cover also follows the same theme as the majority of the Fratellis videos. The girls that are illustrated on the front cover are from the video "Flathead" The front cover itself is also a contrast each girl has a differnt coloured dress and hairstyle/hair colour to distinguish them apart. This is done to draw the publics attension.

Brainstorm - Artic Monkeys Research

Music Video Link has had the impeding code withheld for legal reasons so i have provided a link for the video below;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30w8DyEJ__0

First 30 seconds analyzed;
The start of the video shows the band in a establishing shot and they appear to be a disused warehouse, the lights are only shown on the back so that they stand apart from the background. To fit with the tempo of the shot various amounts of fast shots and cuts are used of the band playing there instruments. A little while into the song small pictures are flashed up against the screen such as a pixelated image, and a 1940's video of a man talking. There are also pictures of women dancing pasted into the various sections.

The lyrics are;
Brian
Top marks for not trying
So kind of you to bless us with your effortlessness
We'd wait for and so trained and comforted

And I wonder
Are you putting us under
'Cos we can't take our eyes off the t-shirt
And ties combination

Well see ya later Innovator!

Some want to kiss some want to kick you
There's not a net you couldn't slip through
Or at least that̢۪s the impression I get
'Cos you̢۪re smooth and you̢۪re wet
And she̢۪s not aware yet, but she̢۪s yours

She'll be sayin' "Use me"
Show me the Jacuzzi
I imagine that it's there on a plate
you're our rendezvous rate
Means you'll never be frightened

To make em wait for a while
I doubt it's your style
Not to get what you set
Out to acquire
The eyes are on fire
You are the un-forcasted storm

(Brian)
Calm, Collected and Commanding
(Top marks for not trying)
You hit the other story standing
With your renditions and jokes
I bet there's hundreds of blokes
That have wept 'cos you've stolen their...

Thunder
Are you putting us under
'Cos we can't take our eyes of your t-shirt
and ties combination
Well see ya later

The song lyrics itself are a description of a man the band know. He is claimed to be hated by the men but loved by the women. Because he would often use underhanded tactics to gain the woman attension. He is also claimed to not care who he seduces such as the line "I bet there's hundreds of blokes, That have wept 'cos you've stolen their..."

Album poster;

The album cover shows a stark contrast in colour tones. The black background with the white band description and the yellow text for the song title. The font picked as well is a standard graphitti text. This is done because it shows a link to the city indie that has been given rise to in the past couple of years. There are problems however because less familiar people could read the writing weather this is the bands intentions or not is not known.

Album cover;

The album cover shows a row of terrist houses with the lights on just one of the houses. The colour contrast is bleak and dark with the exceptions being the light and font title. The yellow text in the corner is the band name and title of album it is shown in the blank sky. Inside the house with the lights on you can clearly see the wallpaper which is multicolored and psychedelic. This could be a metaphor for the album coming from a normal area but is yet unlike you have seen for years.

Best of you - Foo Fighters Research

Music Video Link has had the impeding code withheld for legal reasons so i have provided a link for the video below;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbIXY4eF8ZE

First 30 seconds analised;
The start of the song shows the lead singer (David Ghrol) singing into the microphone, it uses a extreme close up as you can only see his mouth for the first 15seconds, after each sentance he retracts his face to show the white background. The vocals are slowly increased as the song reaches it first chours. When the camera pulls out it shows the band playing in a open desert, the majority of these shots are fast cuts used to keep the song theme continutng. The video also contains various images that flash up of the world, in particular destruction (tide running toward the camera) love (woman in her bed) and growth (flower blooming) these all tie into the song lyrics.

The song lyrics are as follows;
I've got another confession to make
I'm your fool
Everyone's got their chains to break
Holdin' you

Were you born to resist or be abused?
Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?
Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?

Are you gone and onto someone new?
I needed somewhere to hang my head
Without your noose
You gave me something that I didn't have
But had no use
I was too weak to give in
Too strong to lose
My heart is under arrest again
But I break loose
My head is giving me life or death
But I can't choose
I swear I'll never give in
I refuse

Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?
Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?
Has someone taken your faith?
Its real, the pain you feel
You trust, you must
Confess
Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?
Oh...

Oh...Oh...Oh...Oh...

Has someone taken your faith?
Its real, the pain you feel
The life, the love
You die to heal
The hope that starts
The broken hearts
You trust, you must
Confess

Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?
Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?

I've got another confession my friend
I'm no fool
I'm getting tired of starting again
Somewhere new

Were you born to resist or be abused?
I swear I'll never give in
I refuse

Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?
Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?
Has someone taken your faith?
Its real, the pain you feel
You trust, you must
Confess
Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?
Oh...

The lyrics them self are hard to interperate, but i think that they are telling a story. Of someone who has been ether emotionally or physically battered in a relationship, leaving the one who did this to them and how they are trying to cope. This would bring the music videos short clips such as the destruction shown could symbolize the destruction of your confidence after a breakup and the growth shown shortly after each shot is how life continues and how you grow as a character because of it. The main point of the song is how you cant let people beat you into submission during a relationship.

Album Poster;

This poster shows a stark contrast in colours, the black and gold help to provide a eye catching display. The bold use of the lines which point towards the center of the image also help to gather the eyes towards the middle of the poster. The title of the album and band are clearly displayed in a contrast ink to help gain visablity and then a critics score has been posted underneath.

Album cover;

The album cover is a stark contrast to the poster, a different use of contrast is used in this one as the poster contains a black/gold mix, this one contains a white/gold mix. It displays the same information as the poster and even includes the same banner in which the title of the band and album name reside. the only difference is the fact that a long robe has been placed behind the album and a flower motif situated above.

Short list

Today i composed a shortlist of possible songs to feature my music video about;

Everything is Alright - Motion City Soundtrack
Best of You - Foo Fighters
Brianstorm - Arctic Monkeys
Teenagers - (MCR) My Chemical Romance
Chelsea Dagger - The frateills

Because of the wide variety of tempo and song genres it makes it hard to pick, but i have decided that i shall use a mix of animation and normal filming to create the video. I will begin research on each of the songs so i can finally pick my preferred one.

Nickleback

The album cover for Nickleback's Dark horse is unusual. It fits in perfectly with the albums name because the main decorate for the belt buckle is a horse shoe which are commonly known to be lucky which could be a indication about the album. Also the colour scheme features a range of dark colours from blues to purples to blacks, sticking with a gothy/emo fell. Inside the belt buckle are the initals "NB" which are the bands intials realting back to the theme.

Silver side up, Is one of nickelbacks older albums, AS the name suggests it has a dark and gritty theme which is natural to the bands grunge metal music. The album cover itself features a dark blend of tones with a eye crying silver tears which are a tie in with the title of the album. The contrast in colours help to convey the emotions that the bands songs are trying to get you to experiance.

Kings of Leon

The album cover for the latest Kings of Leon album is unique. It has snippets from the band members mug shots arranged into one complete picture. Whist a bald eagle is also brushed into certain places. This could be done for many reasons to simulate that the band all put together "Are Kings of Leon" and that the bald eagle could mean that they are like proud to be American and unique.

Fall out boy

The Album cover for the latest fall out boy song is usual and original, the title Folie a Deux is french for "a madness shared by two", which plays into the album cover. The album cover being two people. A bear being given a piggy back ride by a bloke in a bear costume. Which could be a metaphor for meaning even if someone goes along with your ideas u don't know what there actually like.

This is fall out boys previous album cover titled, Infinity on high, the album cover follows a contrast to the previous one, because there is a blue dominate theme that surrounds this one as apposite to the red in the newer album cover. There is a theme of a child's bedroom as well as shown by the cot in the corner and the winged sheep. As most of fall out boys album covers they hold a deeper meaning then which is originally shown. The one could either relate to soothing songs displayed by the bedroom. Or it could link to the common myth about the bogyman in the closest, the closet is left open stating it could contain a contrast to the previous claim.

This is the earliest mainstream album cover for fall out boy, It is a very unusal one because it contains some stark and deeper meanings, I personally think it is a slur on the common media. The band played punk music durng this album release and punk is known to try to fight conformity in the general population. It shows a group of people greyed out that all look the same, watching a van and a bus stuck in the snow, perhaps stating that the general population will watch anything that is shown to them, in particular the personal distress of people.

Sum 41

The album cover shows a fleet of planes dropping TV's and a nation of people surrounding beneath to claim the TV's. It shows how society depends on technology and will not pass up a free offer. The colours scheme used also plays on a popular contrast, In which the famous expersion "red and green should never be seen" this contrast in colour helps to draw the market towards the album rather effectivly.

The album cover shows a presumably zombie pointing at a hole in his head as if to say the album cover. The text and picture of the stereotypical woman both look like they belong to a 50’s horror movie. The colour scheme in this album relates to the previous one, perpahs creating a link between the band and that green and red are tha bands colours.

This is for real - Motion City Soundtrack

This analysis is for the first 30 seconds of footage;
The video starts with a panning shot showing the band drinking tea and looking at the rest of the bowling alley, The vocals then start in the background and when the last band member is shown it is reveled that he is the singer. Then several shots showing a bowling ball and the scoreboard at a bowling alley reveal that the location is a bowling lane. Then 2 differnt shots showing 3 differnt men, the first shows a collection of meat heads walking into the bowling alley, and the 2nd shows 3 scouts walking in, the stature of the scouts shows that they think they are better than everyone in the place. Afterwards The band is shown picking up there instruments and getting ready to play whislt the vocalist is still singing. Then the band takes place on stage as the song starts to pick up.

Music Video Research

Today i watched a varitey of videos for ideas for my own;

Nelly Country Grammer;
http://new.music.yahoo.com/videos/nelly/country-grammar-hot--2151482;_ylt=AqjhNj7LnS5sd8phgbV8iuPHxCUv
the video has nelly proforming in various locations, his back garden, a stage and a street. Each one has people celerbrating and clinging to him. This plays into the sterotype that all rappers are well loved and accepted amost the community, also the video shows no white people another sterotype that only black people like and enjoy rap music. The music is upbeat and a fast tempo as epected by a rap song.

Weezer Beverly Hills;
http://new.music.yahoo.com/videos/Weezer/Beverly-Hills--18713446
the video has weezer playing a gig in the playboy mansion throughout the day, and at differnt locations thourghout the place. The shots themself make sure to inculde the band but yet gives a hint at where the video is being filmed with a large amout of girls walkin round in ther underwear to break up the music, during the chorus fast cuts are used between the band memembers also the loaction and time is changed throughout the song.

Weezer Pork and Beans;
http://new.music.yahoo.com/videos/Weezer/Pork+and+Beans--157317242
The video is a random collaboration of internet hits such has numba numa man and the evil eyed golfher. A varitey of cuts are used showing weezer preforming various experiments such as the mentos and coke experiment in bulk and then preforming using them. Also a large selection of the video is past internet bulk.

Arctic Monkeys Brianstorm
http://new.music.yahoo.com/videos/ArcticMonkeys/Brianstorm--41073964
the video is about the band playing in a warehourse and uses fast cuts to slip between dancers dancing to the song. Various amounts of fast cuts are used throughout the video in particular between the band and the dancers in the chours.

The Prentender - Foo Fighters

The song starts in a slow tempo with the gutarist plucking a slow and melencholy beat whilst david ghrol signs in a slow tone. The video mimicks this with slow panning shots and medium close ups, also david ghorl is shown putting a bandage on his hand like a boxer would do as if to give hints about whats going to happen in the song/video. The rest of the band is then seen picking up there instuments and starting to play as the song starts to become more agressive. With the increase in tempo the shots become more rapid and fast cuts flicking through the various band members but mainly paying attension to david ghrol.
Eventually a lone riot patrol officer shows up, to presumerbly tell the band to stop playing, then the lyrics "ill never surrender" means he shows up with more riot patrol officers. After they cross the line the song dips to a slow tempo and quickly starts up agian as a glass cabinate behind them breaks open and knocks the riot officers away. The band continues to play as all the water is flying past them as a metaphor to nothing can stop us.

Say it Ain't so - Weezer

The video for this video has a band performance in the back of somebodys house. This helps to show how poor or unfamous weezer were before this song was released. The video fits into the new alternate rock that started to show in the early 90's more commonly now called Indie or Emo. It shows the band preforming the song with particualr attension being paid to the lead singer thant he rest of the band. But when the chorous comes into play a long shot is used to show all the band members playing there instuments. The video also pays attension to the bassist and gutairst when they use back up vocals. This technique is used to help enpahsise that it is a band and not just a singer accompaned by a band.

There's a hole in your logic
You who know all the answers
You claim science aint magic
And expect me to buy it

And Goodbye Mr A
You promised you would love us
But you knew too much
Goodbye Mr A
You had all the answers
But no human touch
If life is subtraction
Your number is up
Your love is a fraction
It's not adding up

Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh
(Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh)
(Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh)
(Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh)

So busy showing me where i'm wrong
You forgot to switch your feelings on
Oh-Oh-Oh
So so superior, ard you not
You love a little bit but you forgot

Goodbye Mr A You promised you would love us
But you knew too much
Goodbye Mr A
You had all the answers
But no human touch
If life is subtraction
Your number is up
Your love is a fraction
It's not adding up

Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh
(Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh)
(Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh)
(Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh)

(Goodbye Mr A)
(Goodbye Mr A)

Goodbye Mr A The world was full of wonder till you opened my eyes
Goodbye Mr A
(Goodbye Mr A)
Wish you hadn't blown my mind and killed the suprise
Goodbye Mr A
You promised you would love us but you knew to much
Goodbye Mr A
You had all the answers
But no human touch
If life is subtraction
Your number is up
Your love is a fraction
It's not adding up

(Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh)
